Four origins, each with its own strengths and its own paperwork.

Arabian Gulf

The Arabian Gulf is the largest producer of penetration bitumen in the region and our biggest source for drummed bitumen. Through our associates in the country we have regular access to drummed bitumen of various grades, and shipments can be made promptly.

Saudi Arabia

Saudi Aramco is the sole producer of bitumen in Saudi Arabia and it produces only bitumen penetration grade 60/70, in bulk. Our associates in Jeddah and Dammam operate a bitumen blending and drumming company, which gives us the ability to blend bitumen penetration grade 80/100 from it and also to manufacture cutbacks such as MC-30 and MC-3000 along with bitumen emulsions. We also blend other penetration grades such as 120/150 and 180/200.

United Arab Emirates

Bitumen is imported into the UAE from Arabian Gulf countries in bulk, for local distribution to contractors. There are blending companies in the UAE that use this bulk 60/70 to make different penetration grades, cutbacks and emulsions for re-export to other countries. We buy cutbacks and emulsions from the UAE regularly.

Egypt

Egypt is the largest source of drummed and bulk bitumen in North Africa. With ports on both sides of the Suez canal, its strategic location makes it a good source of supply for Eastern Africa as well as for North and West African ports. Exports from Egypt are seasonal, depending on domestic consumption. Our associates in Egypt can assure regular supplies of drummed bitumen in penetration grades 60/70 and 80/100 as well as cutbacks including MC-30.

Egypt is part of the COMESA structure, so exports covered under a COMESA certificate of origin enjoy duty exemptions and benefits for importers in other COMESA countries.
